Every one's doing it, big time apparently. It's even the core business for some.
Chess videos. Are they the future?
Personally, I can't think of anything worse than listening to me talk about chess. Except, perhaps, watching me talk about chess. On the other hand, they certainly offer something different. In this cute and funny one, for instance, we learn God plays the Scandanavian Defence - and that He lets you play two moves in a row, as well.

Dunno, I would rather write like I did before, but people are too lazy by default to print the item and replay moves on their board. They want cbh format, it just takes pressing arrows.
When replaying the videos I couldn't believe how boring I sound.
On the other hand, I think filming crazy people from my club would be interesting to see and I might do it soon.
If you sound only boring to yourself, you're very lucky. When I've heard myself recorded I sound *obnoxious* - to me, at least. Perhaps I do in real life too, I don't know. Maybe I'll blog an example some time. Or would I not be so cruel.
Hi,
excellent blog post on chess videos! I just wanted to mention that I've been trying to promote chess videos as a training concept through my new forum www.chess-videos.com
The forum includes more than just training videos, however. The idea is that members post videos of their thoughts live, during a game, and then we comment on each others' thought processes. We also have training videos, but I'm hoping the live online videos really take off. Let me know what you think.
Seems like a nice site Josh, I'll link you in our sidebar.
