Crash, Bang, & Wallop

For all the rich subtley in chess, for all the nuances of a move order, for all those delicate endgame nuggets, for all the intricacies of a particular pawn structure, for all the strategic precision and positional understanding - sometimes you really can't beat a bit of good old fashioned slap, bang, wallop.

And so I present to you this position where it's black, Hikaru Nakamura, to play against Michal Krasenkow from the recent Magistral D'Escacs tournament in Barcelona.

See if you can find the winning idea before checking the solution over at either Chessbuff - who presents his own analysis - or The Closet Grandmaster, who celebrates the game as a "a truly stunning attacking masterpiece" and possible Game of the Year.

'Slap, bang, wallop'? I don’t know what type of establishment you frequent, Tom, but the opening shot looks more like a crash to me.

The winning idea was the first thing that sprung to mind but of course no one tells you to look for a certain type of move during your own games.
