Of course this was back from when Merton wasn't actually a waste of space. I mean Jesus Christ, when was the last time there was anything than remotely resembled a joke on HIGNFY? It's like watching white noise, except that it's possible to sleep through it.
The fact that the white square is in the left hand corner shouldn't necessarily put us off, as it's a charming enough sketch.
