Indeed. Puzzle by Alvey, Surrey Weekly Press 1919, taken from (page 23) BP Barnes' Pick Of The Best Chess Problems (Paper Fronts, 1983) which I think I may even have bought in Ilfracombe.
(The original puzzle was also from that book: page 21, Lipton [version by Jönsson] 1st HM Ring Tourney, Evening News 1958.)
Since there are two answers i can presumably give one of them without spoiling the puzzle!
