Have Your Cake and Play It

A tasty morsel to start the week.

As seen last month in a Parisian pâtisserie.
Another one for LASTG*UR. Possibly.

Touch a piece, and eat it. You can have another bite here, if you can bear it.

  2. I had a chess themed cake for my 40th birthday a few months ago. It looked great and was tasty, too! http://goo.gl/NnVsq

  5. Well, if I'm right, it's a nod to Richard James and The Complete Chess Addict and in the original the G was not Gateaux it was a 'b' for board.

Any offers on this? If none by the time I get home tonight I'll reveal all.

PS: The clue, I believe, is looking at the cake, in particular the bottom right-hand corner.

  8. And, as I've noted before, very much the inspiration for our TIFEs and TISEs and TITE and whatnot.

It's Gary Barlow's pad, apparently (assume pieces put en prise are accompanied with the words take that...)
