Nightmare for Richard at Hastings today
Nightmare for us here, it seems. No-one wants to have a stab at this? I'll set the ball rolling with 1. Nd6 h2 2. e7 h1=Q+ 3. Ke6, which might hold but I'm far from convinced it's right.
Any more for any more?
These are getting tougher every day!PG
You won't say that tomorrow.
Aha, I wasn't far off with my first three moves.1. Nd6 h2 2. e7 h1=Q+ 3. Ke6 Bb5 4. Nxb5 Qe4+ 5. Kf7 Qd5+ 6. Kg6 Qxb5 7. Kh6 Kg8 8. e8=Q+ Qxe8 stalemate.
That's it.Sourced from the Russian-language Wikipedia page on Yakimchik.
