Good grief, I believe I have solved a study. This almost never happens - certainly not with any of the positions in that Timman book someone gave me for Christmas.

You are allowed to celebrate by giving the solution....
Yes, an obvious theme to trap & win the queen, but nicely done even for 1904. I like the way it operates predominantly on white squares.
I'll let JC "celebrate", as he was invited to do so by EJH.
Well, if I did that my pleasure might be spoiled by finding out I had it wrong.
Still, as you ask 1 Rg6+ Ke6 2 Rg8 Qf3 3 Be2 is my proposal.
Yep: there's a couple of variations but they're given where I found the study, which was in the Chess Café Endgame Studies Archive.
