I should say that where I can find them, I'm rendering the titles of paintings in the language of the artist.The title I give may not be the title under which they're best known and may not be correct, particularly as(a) in this instance, for example, I know no German ;(b) one often finds different titles for the same painting.If I have erred, anybody with the knowledge to put me right is strongly encouraged to do so!
